The foundation Centro de Encontro has been active for many years to help the lives of streetchildren in Maputo. They have started a "street school" a soccer club and different sorts of training to become various professions. They have also started a vegetable project to teach the children how to grow their own vegetables and to generate a little income for the "street school". A piece of land has been bought, a small farm house and a water tower have been built. The first harvests have been made and the vegetables have been sold. The next project is a small kitchen for the people that work in the garden where they can prepare their own meals or eat their lunch. € 500,-- is needed for the materials to build this kitchen.
