We would love to play soccer......

We don’t have the shoes or the equipment for playing soccer…..
At present, the Dreamcatcher Kamamma’s  take care of about 50 young adults who have nothing and for whom a game of soccer or basketball is a dream come true. These kids can be made happy for € 25 per child for a pair of sports shoes, balls and help of a trainer (50 x 25  = € 1.250).

Dreamcatcher
The message and passion of the Dreamcatcher Foundation is to support and train women and their families to help themselves to climb out of poverty and help them to regain their independence , their dignity and pride through training and education to learn to run their own small business. Dreamcatcher Foundation (started in 1986) works through social tourism (community-based tourism) to teach the colored South Africans to help overcome poverty and to build a dignified existence. In addition Dreamcatcher focuses on women in the townships, called Kamamma programs, and helps them to become self-employed in tourism

A compulsory part of the course is that the Kamamma themselves also adopt a project ("charity"). This can be help to elderly, cooking for people from the community, children who can not afford to go to school, a day program for  people with AIDS or HIV etc. etc. Most Kamamma's join existing initiatives, especially the Dreamcatcher Kids program. And for this program they need  soccer shoes, soccerballs, basketballs and other sports equipment, to put a smile on these children's faces.

Kamamma is the Xhosa word for the woman who carries a child on the back, but also deals with all tasks in the house and with the education of all children. The "Dreamcatcher-Kamamma" bears family and community for a better living standard.
