Report from the holidaycamp:
On Monday the 21st of September staff and pupils of the Prasoro Foundation left for Carolinakreek.
Upon arrival everyone had a nice bowl of macaroni, had a rest and then alle went for a swim. Everyone ate together everyday. Food was prepared by the staff and the children which contributed to the feeling of togetherness. That afternoon the tents where set up and the hammocks attached between the trees. There were lots of activities every day and the day always ended with a nice swim in the Carolinakreek.
At the end of the afternoon on Wednesday busses came to pick up everyone to bring them back home. The children where very enthousiastic about their outing, had a wonderful time to play and swim and they talked about their outing for a long long time after they had come back.
The Prasoro Foundation for the child in need provides a home for those children that can no longer stay at home due to sexual abuse and or drugs/alcohol abuse by their parents/caretakers and that they will be taken in by the Foundation's children's village for a longer period of time. The children are housed in a safe and loving environment where they will receive the care and love necessary for children to develop into respectable citizens.
The Foundation has organised a weekend outing for the children and the staff so they can spend a relaxing an fun weekend together. For this weekend the Prasoro Foundation has asked the help of Moments of Joy. The children and the staff (63 people in total) will stay in Carolinakreek and enjoy all sorts of activities together. Cost cover transportation, housing and meals.
Total cost € 2.200,-
